Ouch, there are somethings we must demolish & destroy before we can revamp and rebuild …I am talking about things that can get in the way of maximizing our fitness and health endeavors. Destructive habits, limiting mindsets, and all things that are unproductive.

We don’t have to be perfect but we can be purposeful and faithful with our training routine and our health and fitness rituals. There might be a lot of work still to do but we will leave nothing unfinished. Continue to….

Amateur Athletes in the house….I get you while the general population, thinks you are fast enough, buffed enough, strong enough and so forth, they don’t understand why you want to obtain more… I get you, The obsession to purpose, dedication to sport, that soul on fire drives you. You always feel like there is a little bit more in the tank. Your standard might seem off the charts, and you are determined to maintain them as you struggle to reach level next. Replicating those good results you achieve before is a good thing…until you realize, that you want to do better. I find myself at that juncture. I want to do just like before only better. I was designed to stretch myself, make full use of the opportunity. This is not a season to let ourselves down or stagnate. Feel free to jump on this gym wagon because it is time to up the game.

I say bounce on it, don’t stop until the results are what you desire, whether that is improving your strength, running, cycling levels etc. Or may be you are new to the lifestyle and you going from clueless to 5k or summoning up the courage to do your first weight training session. Why give yourself no options? because it works when you adhere to it. Face it there are times when motivation will ghost you. You get the blahs, the I don’t want to for no apparent reasons. I don’t want to weight train, isn’t cardio optional. After the i don’t want to’s very valid sounding excuses will bombard your brain and start flow out of your mouth in rapid succession. Talk about gas lighting yourself. The next thing you know you are pulled of purpose and romancing some seductive but goal destroy habit. You might even forget why you started this is the first place.

See having no options will keep you from all this drama. You do what you have to do because well…..there is no options. Don’t negotiate your way out of doing something great to day ….like moving one step closer to your goal. You are going to enjoy the end results. It is your winning season. Go for the win.

This is causing some pain people and I am not just talking about delay onset muscle soreness. The process of evolving can take its toil at times. Do not walk into that gym with a comparison mindset, especially you beginners. This is your journey, you have your own story, your own path. Do not discourage yourself by comparing. Focus all of your powers on creating a better you. Keep showing up and keep doing what needs to be done.

Nourish your body and give it time to respond and adapt.Stick with your plan give it time and all no negative thoughts, conversations, situationships, to contaminate your journey. Stop holding on the things that cause you harm.

Let’s roll,

Survive that commercial gym madness. Come armed and load with a plan.The point is to remain faithful to whatever you came to do. So whatever productivity system, or gym journal, app or paper you use come prepared. We must stay specific on what we have to do and achieve, this is no fly by the seat of your sweatpants endeavor. You are on point and on purpose, as you eye the next piece of gym equipment you need to use.

Your schedule is tight and the equipment circle people, are on the prowl. They are those beautiful souls, who haven’t decided exactly what they want to do. So they hover, circle and circle as they try to make up their mind, which is fine but you are running out of time and they are honing in on the equipment you need. Come prepared and give those that circle a break. We all had to start somewhere.

Never sweat that which you cannot control, but be specific with that which you can control. Your internal environment, that wondrous mind of yours, must always be primed for success.

Special message to all you comeback kids of all ages. Coming back to a fitness and health lifestyle can be a bit daunting at first especially if it has been a long time. There is the, I lost all that weigh and gained even more back group. There is the, I was injured and the road to recovery pulled me off course clan. The life got in the way and I let my fitness regime fall along the wayside, one day became two and before you knew it, a year or more had passed crew. I could go on but time will not permit and you get the idea. Hey I am not to judge, I just want to see you have that successful ending starting now so if you are ready for a comeback go get it.
